About this tool
All five frame styles are drawn with the canvas API: a solid border simply pads the photo with one colour, polaroid adds extra space at the bottom with an optional handwritten-style caption, rounded corners clip the photo's edges, drop shadow adds a soft shadow behind a plain border, and double border nests two different coloured borders around the photo. Everything is generated locally in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
Measuring the border as a percentage of the photo’s shorter side means a 4% border looks the same on a phone snapshot and a 6000-pixel camera original; switch to pixels for an exact size. Rounded corners and the drop shadow need transparency, so those styles are always saved as PNG; the others can be saved as a smaller JPEG.
