Guitar Chord Chart
Fretboard diagrams for 40 common guitar chords, from open chords to barre chords and 7ths — with finger numbers, note names and a strum to check your tuning.
About this tool
Strings run left (low E) to right (high E). An "O" above a string means play it open; an "X" means don't play that string. A filled dot shows which fret to press, and the number inside is the finger to use: 1 is your index finger, 2 middle, 3 ring and 4 little finger.
Barre chords, such as F, B♭ and B minor, use one finger flat across several strings, shown as a long bar. When a chord sits higher up the neck, the number beside the diagram (for example “3fr”) is the fret the top row of the diagram starts at. The note each string plays is printed underneath, and the left-handed view mirrors the diagram for guitars strung the other way round. Press Strum to hear the chord. All shapes are for standard tuning (E A D G B E).
