About this tool
Takes the first letter of the first word and the first letter of the last word — a single word gives just one initial.
Accented letters, non-Latin scripts and emoji are kept whole, and leading punctuation such as quotation marks or brackets is skipped. Long initials shrink to fit the shape. Download a PNG at the size your app or website asks for (most profile pictures are shown at 128px or less, so 512px is plenty for sharp results on any screen), or an SVG, which stays crisp at any size. The colour contrast between the initials and the background is checked as you choose.
