VAR Review Timer
Time every VAR check while you watch: start when the check begins, stop when the decision’s made, and keep a log of how long each one took and whether it was overturned.
About this tool
VAR can only step in for four kinds of decision: goals, penalties, direct red cards and mistaken identity. A check happens on every one of those incidents and is often finished without play stopping; a review is when the referee is told there may be a clear and obvious error and either accepts the VAR's advice or goes to the pitch-side screen. Start the timer when play is held up for VAR, then stop it with the outcome.
The timer keeps running even if you switch apps or lock your phone, and the log is saved on this device. Time spent on VAR should be added on at the end of the half, so the Added Time Estimator can take your total from here in one tap.
