Track possession live from the touchline: tap whichever team has the ball and the timer works out each side’s share, half by half, leaving out time when the ball’s out of play.
About this tool
Professional possession figures are worked out from the time each team has the ball. This tracker does the same: tap the team that has the ball whenever it changes hands, and tap “Ball out of play” for throw-ins, goal kicks, fouls and injuries, so stoppages don't count for either side. The percentages update every second.
Switch to the second half at half-time and the first half's figures are kept, with a whole-match figure underneath. The timings are saved on this device as you go, so the screen locking or a refresh won't lose them. Possession on its own doesn't win matches, but it's a useful way to see which team controlled the game, especially alongside shots and expected goals.
