About this tool

This uses the standard "circle method" for round-robin scheduling: one entrant is held fixed while everyone else rotates one position each round, pairing the entrant at each end of the remaining line. Repeating this for one fewer round than there are entrants guarantees every pair meets exactly once. If the number of entrants is odd, a "Bye" is added to make it even — each round, whoever lands on the Bye simply sits that round out, and byes rotate fairly so nobody sits out twice before everyone else has.
