About this tool
White noise has equal energy at every frequency and sounds hissy; pink noise rolls off at higher frequencies for a softer, more natural hiss; brown noise rolls off even more steeply for a deep rumble, like distant surf or a running fan. Mix them to find the texture that works for you.
The three layers play together and each level changes the sound straight away while it plays, so you can tune the mix by ear. White noise is turned down relative to the others because it sounds much louder at the same level. Download saves 30 seconds of the current mix.
