Each track is mixed in stereo at its own gain (mono tracks go equally to both sides). Tracks of different lengths are fine: shorter ones simply end while longer ones carry on.
If the tracks add up to more than full scale, the whole mix is turned down so its peak sits at −1 dBFS, rather than clipping and distorting, and the result tells you by how much. Preview the mix before downloading it as a WAV.
