About this tool
Both files are decoded and their first channel compared sample-by-sample once loaded. Lossy formats (like MP3) will never come back bit-identical to a WAV source even on a good transcode, so expect a small but non-zero difference there — what matters is whether that difference is small (a clean transcode) or large (something changed).
