Bitrate Comparator
Upload one or two audio files to see their actual effective bitrate, worked out from file size and duration — useful when a file's bitrate isn't stated, or you want to compare two encodes.

About this tool
Effective bitrate is simply the file's size in bits divided by its duration — this works for any format, including variable-bitrate encodes where a single "the bitrate" figure doesn't really exist. It won't match a constant-bitrate file's nominal rate exactly, since a file's container also adds a small amount of overhead on top of the actual audio data.
