Measure your bag at its largest, including wheels, handles and pockets. The checker turns the bag whichever way fits best, then compares it with each airline’s free under-seat bag and its larger cabin bag, which on Ryanair, Wizz Air and some other fares costs extra. KLM, Air France and Transavia count the weight of both bags together.
Airline sizes are their published standard allowances as reported in mid-2026 and they change, so check your booking before you fly. For a checked suitcase, most airlines use a weight allowance and many also limit the total of length, width and depth, commonly 158 cm. Your measurements are saved on this device.
