Pi Explorer
Calculate π to as many as 100,000 decimal places in your browser, and find where your birthday or any other number first appears in it.
About this tool
The digits are calculated fresh in your browser with the Chudnovsky formula, the same series used for world-record calculations, using exact whole-number arithmetic so every digit shown is correct. Drag the slider or type an exact number of decimal places, up to 100,000; tick "Group in tens" to make long stretches easier to read.
The search always looks through the first 100,000 digits, even if fewer are on screen, and tells you where your sequence first starts and how many digits to show to see it highlighted. Almost every 4-digit number appears, and about 63% of 5-digit ones do, but only about 1 in 10 six-digit sequences turns up in the first 100,000 digits, so if a DDMMYY birthday isn't found, try just the day and month as DDMM.
