About this tool
Uses the genuine historical rotor and reflector wirings of the Wehrmacht Enigma I/M3, including the notorious "double-stepping" anomaly of the middle rotor. Because the Enigma's reflector makes the circuit reciprocal, encrypting the output with the exact same settings reproduces the original text — that's not a coincidence, it's how the real machine worked. Only A–Z letters are processed; spaces and punctuation pass through unchanged, matching historical practice of stripping them before transmission.
