Subs Rotation Planner
Plan substitutions so every player gets fair playing time: list your squad, choose how many play at once and how often you change, and get a grid of who’s on when, with the changes to make.
About this tool
The match is split into equal blocks (four 15-minute blocks of a 60-minute game, say) and you make your changes at the start of each block: the natural breaks, quarters or drinks breaks work well. For each block, the players with the fewest minutes so far go on, and anyone who sat out the last block gets priority, so nobody spends two blocks in a row on the bench if it can be avoided. If your keeper plays the whole game, choose them and the rest rotate around them.
The FA's guidance for youth football is that every player should get a fair share of game time, and many grassroots leagues ask for it. Rolling substitutions are allowed in most youth formats, so you can make the changes at any stoppage. Your squad is saved on this device.
