About this tool
Only players on the pitch when the final whistle goes can take part. Each team takes five kicks alternately; if it's still level, it goes to sudden death, and nobody can take a second kick until every eligible player on that team, goalkeeper included, has taken one. A team with more players left on the pitch than the other has to reduce to the same number before the shootout starts.
The confidence order puts your most reliable takers first and fifth (the first sets the tone and the fifth may have to score to win), the next two second and fourth, and the least confident of the five third, then lines up everyone else for sudden death with the keeper last. The random draw uses your device's secure random numbers, so it's fair for youth teams where everyone should get a turn. The list is saved on this device.
