About this tool

Attack, decay, sustain and release (ADSR) shape how a note's volume changes over time — attack is how quickly it reaches full volume, decay how quickly it then eases to the sustain level, sustain the level it holds at while a key is down, and release how long it takes to fade out after you let go. Try short attack and release for a plucky sound, or a slow attack for something more like a swell.
