About this tool

Nixie tubes were the glowing orange cold-cathode display tubes used in clocks, calculators and lab instruments from the 1950s through the 1970s, each tube holding a stack of wire digits that light up individually. This clock borrows that look — warm glow, dark glass, a metal chassis frame and gently blinking separator dots — for an ordinary live digital time display read from your device's own clock.

Is this a real Nixie tube simulation?
No — it's a styled digital clock that borrows the Nixie look (the glow, the dark tube glass, the chassis) rather than simulating the internal wire-digit stack of a real tube.
Does it use my computer's clock or an internet time server?
Your device's own system clock. If that clock is wrong, the display will be too.
