About this tool

Each round plays a root note followed by a second note somewhere between 0 and 12 semitones away (unison up to a full octave), synthesised rather than sampled. Recognising intervals by ear — rather than counting keys on a keyboard — is one of the most useful skills for sight-singing, transcription, and improvisation.
