Virtual Scratch DJ
Load a short clip, then click and drag the turntable to scratch it — forwards, backwards, fast or slow — just like a real deck.

About this tool
Dragging the record converts how far and how fast you move into a playback speed and direction, just like moving a real record under a needle. Each movement plays a short slice of the track at that speed, faded at both ends so the slices join smoothly; moving backwards plays from a reversed copy of the track. Let go and the sound stops, or press Play to let the record run.
It works with a mouse, a finger or a pen. Try short, quick back-and-forth movements over a drum hit or a vocal word for the classic “baby scratch”.
