About this tool
Enter each staff member's shift as a simple block — the day it falls on, and the start and end hour — and this tool builds a heatmap of how many people are covering each hour of the week between 7am and 11pm. Darker cells mean more staff on at that hour; pale or empty cells show gaps worth a second look, whether that's under-staffing at a busy time or over-staffing during a quiet one.
This tool deliberately doesn't track names — it's for visualising overall coverage shape, not building the actual rota. For a named, editable weekly schedule, use the separate Staff Rota Builder instead.
