Abandoned Order Recall
Customer had to dash off before you could finish ringing up or refunding their order? Log what you know — order number, drinks/food, card last 4, a vague description — so they can be matched up and sorted out if they come back, without the friction of a refund or the risk of a chargeback. Records clear themselves out automatically after 8 days.
About this tool
Everything is saved on this device only (your browser's local storage) — nothing is sent anywhere. That also means it isn't shared between devices or browsers, and clearing your browser data would delete it, so use Export JSON now and then to keep a backup you can bring back with Import JSON. Eligibility: only log an order here if it was abandoned before anything was made or prepared — if a drink was made or food was bagged and then not collected, it had to be wasted and isn't eligible for this tool, since a customer can't be made to accept an order prepared earlier. Auto-expiry: every record is automatically and permanently deleted 8 days after its date/time — since this is purely client-side there's no background timer, so the cleanup only actually runs the next time someone opens this page (a revisit is needed to trigger it); each record shows how many days it has left. Redeemed is whole-order only: there's no partial redemption, so marking a record "Redeemed" closes out the entire order even if the customer only wants part of it back — they can't return another time for the rest. Quick add records (order number + note only) should be filled in with full details later when there's time, by editing or re-logging with the same order number.
