Sitemap.xml Generator
Turn a list of page addresses into a valid sitemap.xml for Google and Bing, with optional last-changed dates, and split very large sites into several files automatically.
About this tool
A sitemap lists the pages you want search engines to find. Paste full addresses, or paths such as /blog/ with a base URL, one per line. Duplicates, blank lines and lines starting with # are skipped, and anything that isn’t a valid address is reported with its line number. Special characters such as & are escaped for you, as the XML format requires.
Google uses the lastmod date only when it’s accurate, so add a date after an address (2026-03-14) for pages you know were updated, rather than stamping every page with today’s date. Google ignores change frequency and priority, which is why they’re left out unless you add them. A single sitemap can hold up to 50,000 addresses; above that, the tool splits the list into several files and adds a sitemap index that points to them, all in one ZIP.
Upload sitemap.xml to the root of your site, add a Sitemap: line to your robots.txt with the robots.txt Generator, and submit it in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. Your list is remembered on this device.
