About this tool
A receipt confirms that your customer has paid you. It's useful when someone pays in cash, when a customer asks for proof of payment, or when you've been paid without sending an invoice first. It shows your business, the date paid, what the payment was for, how it was paid and the total, marked as paid in full.
If you're VAT registered and the customer needs to reclaim VAT, the receipt shows your VAT number and the VAT for each rate, which is what a simplified VAT invoice needs for sales up to £250. Your business details are shared with the invoice and quote tools and saved on this device only. Number your receipts in order; “Start the next receipt” does that for you.
