About this tool

Alliteration is when nearby words start with the same sound. This tool uses a practical letter-based heuristic: it looks for three or more words in a row (skipping small connector words like "the", "a", "an", "and", "of" and "to" so they don't break a run) that start with the same letter, lowercased and ignoring punctuation. It matches on the first letter, not the true phonetic sound, so it won't catch things like "city" and "sea" sharing a soft-C sound, or separate "circle" from "kite" — but it's a quick and reliable way to spot the obvious runs in your writing.
