About this tool
Click a cell to toggle a step on or off for that track. When you hit play, the pattern loops through its 16 steps (16th notes, four per beat) at the BPM you set, triggering a small synthesised drum sound for each active step — a kick drum, snare, hi-hat or clap, each built from a different kind of synth rather than a sample.
