Shrinkage only shows up as a stock-take surprise if nobody records it at the point it happens. The Waste Logger is for noting down stock the moment it's binned, marked down or found damaged — product, quantity, reason and value — so you end up with a running log instead of a vague impression. Entries are saved to this browser, newest first, with live running totals at the top.
This log uses the same data shape as the separate Waste Analysis Tool, so once you've logged entries here you can export them and bring them into that tool to spot trends by product or reason over time.
