Cornell Notes Maker
Take notes in the Cornell format: questions and key words on the left, notes on the right and a summary at the bottom. Test yourself with the notes hidden, then print it or download it.
About this tool
The Cornell method, devised by Walter Pauk at Cornell University, splits a page into three parts. Take notes in the right-hand column during a lecture or while reading. Afterwards, write short questions or key words in the left-hand column that the notes answer, and sum up the page in a few sentences at the bottom. Writing the cues and summary is what makes the method work: it makes you process the material rather than just copy it.
To revise, switch on review mode. The notes are hidden, so you can read each cue, answer it from memory, then tap the note to check. Testing yourself like this is one of the most effective ways to remember things. Pages are saved in this browser as you type; print them, download them as Markdown, or print a blank Cornell sheet to write on by hand.
