About this tool
Each "ping" fetches a tiny file hosted on EverydayTools.co.uk and times the round trip. This isn't a true ICMP ping (browsers can't send those), but it's a reasonable real-world measure of how responsive your connection to this site is — jitter is the average change from one ping to the next, which matters more than the average for things like video calls. A first, uncounted request sets up the connection so it doesn't skew the results.
