About this tool

A delivery policy sets expectations before people buy: how quickly you dispatch, what each option costs and how long it takes, where you deliver and who pays customs charges abroad. UK law already fixes some of it. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods remain your responsibility until they’re delivered to the customer or someone they’ve nominated, so a lost or damaged parcel is your problem to sort out with the courier, not theirs. If you haven’t agreed a delivery date, you must deliver within 30 days, and if a delivery date that was essential is missed, the customer can cancel for a full refund.

Enter your delivery options as name | price | time, one per line, and they’re listed in the policy. Northern Ireland, the Highlands and islands, and the Channel Islands often cost more, and parcels to the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and abroad may need customs forms. For international orders, say clearly whether prices include duties and taxes, since unexpected charges on delivery are a common cause of complaints. Your answers are remembered on this device.
