Social Media Banner Generator
Build a text banner sized correctly for X, LinkedIn, YouTube or Facebook, with a guide showing the area that stays visible on every device.
About this tool
Each preset matches that platform's current recommended banner dimensions — check the platform's own help pages if you need the very latest figures, since these change occasionally.
Banners are cropped differently on phones, tablets and computers, and profile photos sit on top of part of them. The dashed guide marks the area that stays visible everywhere, and your text is automatically sized to fit inside it. It matters most for YouTube, where a 2560 × 1440 banner is cut down to just the middle 1546 × 423 on many screens. The Facebook size is twice the 820 × 312 display size so it looks sharp on high-resolution screens. PNG keeps text edges crispest; JPEG gives a smaller file.
