CSS Minifier
Strip comments, whitespace and unnecessary characters from CSS.
About this tool
Removes comments, collapses whitespace, and strips unnecessary characters like trailing semicolons — a basic minifier, not a full build-tool-grade optimiser.
It’s careful about the places where whitespace matters. Text inside quotes and url() values is never touched, so content: "a b" and inline data URIs survive intact; the space in a descendant selector such as .nav :focus is kept (removing it would change the meaning); and spaces inside calc() stay put. It also shortens 0.5 to .5. Licence comments starting /*! are kept by default, as many open-source licences require.
For a production site, a build tool such as Lightning CSS or cssnano will go further (merging rules, shortening colours), but this is ideal for a quick one-off, an email template or a snippet.
