End of Shift Till Calculator
Basic maths gets trickier at the end of a long, hectic shift — count your till down denomination by denomination, and let this catch the mistakes before you do.
About this tool
Type a value directly, or use the +/− steppers to count up — each updates the other automatically. A value box turns red if it isn't an exact multiple of that denomination (like typing £56 into the £5 row), so mistakes get caught immediately rather than at the end. Switching between Simple and Advanced Mode clears the count, so choose your mode before you start.
Tell the calculator whether the float is still in the drawer when you count. If it is, your takings are the cash counted minus the float; if you bagged the float up first, everything you count is takings. Enter the expected cash figure from your till's X or Z report to see whether the till is over or short. The count is saved on this device until you start a new one.
