Hashtag Generator
Turn keywords and phrases into tidy hashtags in one go, with capitals for readability, duplicates removed, and a check against each platform’s hashtag limit.
About this tool
Hashtags can’t contain spaces or punctuation, so each phrase is joined into one word: “small business” becomes #SmallBusiness. Capitalising each word makes hashtags easier to read and lets screen readers pronounce them properly, which matters for accessibility; the capitals don’t change which posts the tag links to. Accented letters and other alphabets are kept, apostrophes are dropped (“mum’s” becomes #Mums), and a tag made only of numbers is skipped because it won’t become a link.
Fewer, more relevant hashtags now work better than long lists. Since December 2025, Instagram has limited posts and reels to five hashtags, and the tool warns when you go over the usual number for the platform you choose. Mix one or two broad tags with specific ones for your topic or town, which have less competition. Your keywords are remembered on this device.
