File Checksum Verifier
Compute a checksum for a downloaded file and verify it against the value the publisher gave you — nothing is uploaded, it's all hashed locally.

About this tool
Uses your browser's own built-in cryptography (MD5 isn't offered natively by browsers, so SHA-256 is the default and best supported) to hash the file locally. Note that the Web Crypto API doesn't expose MD5, so if a publisher only gives an MD5 checksum you'll need a different tool for that specific algorithm.
