Enter the bill, pick a percentage and say how many are paying. In the UK, 10 to 12.5% is usual in restaurants with table service, and many add a discretionary service charge to the bill already, in which case you don't need to tip again. Ticking “round up” gives everyone a whole amount to pay and shows the tip percentage that works out to.
Tipping customs vary a lot around the world: 15 to 20% is expected in the US, while in Japan tipping can cause offence. Since October 2024, UK employers must pass all tips and service charges to their staff in full. For bills where people ordered different amounts, use the Split Bill Calculator.
