About this tool

Paste SQL that uses any mix of the three identifier quoting styles (MySQL `backticks`, standard "double quotes" used by PostgreSQL, SQLite and Oracle, and SQL Server [brackets]) and every quoted name is rewritten in the style you pick. String literals in single quotes and comments are left exactly as they are, so the brackets and quotes inside 'say "hi" [now]' aren't touched. A quote character inside a name is escaped correctly for the new style.

Remove quotes where safe strips the quoting from simple names that don't need it, and keeps standard double quotes on any name that does: one with a space or symbol, or a reserved word such as order. Note that MySQL treats "…" as a string, not a name, unless ANSI_QUOTES mode is on, which is why backticks are the safe choice there.
