Word Clock
The time in words, not numbers — "it is twenty five past four" — with each word lighting up in a grid, to the nearest five minutes.

About this tool
Rounds the current time to the nearest five minutes and lights up the words that spell it out — the same way a traditional word clock works, just as words in a grid rather than individual letters. Because it works in five-minute steps, it deliberately doesn't show seconds; that rounding is the whole idea, not a limitation.
- Why doesn't it show the exact minute?
- Word clocks work in five-minute phrases by design ("twenty five past four", not "four twenty six") — that's the traditional format this tool follows.
- What happens right on the hour?
- It shows "IT IS [hour] O'CLOCK", and for the 2–3 minutes either side of the hour it rounds to the nearest o'clock or five-past/to phrase.
