About this tool

Good gapping means an even step between clubs, usually 10 to 15 yards through the irons and wedges, so every distance inside 150 yards has a club that fits a full swing. A gap much bigger than the rest leaves an awkward yardage; two clubs only a few yards apart mean one is doing the other’s job and its slot could go to a club you’re missing.

Use carry distances, not total distance, ideally the average from a launch monitor or a range session rather than your best shot. Adding lofts helps: if two clubs are 8 degrees or more apart, there’s room for another between them. Your bag is saved on this device.
